YOUNG PEOPLE CLOSELY FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH ELECTORAL SYSTEM

At the Tashkent railway engineering institute, the Milliy Tiklanish democratic party of Uzbekistan has arranged a round-table conversation on the subject of “The legal basis for Uzbekistan’s electoral system”.

It was noted during the event that consistent reforms being implemented in the country are an important factor in strengthening political parties’ prestige in society. For this purpose, an electoral system that completely conforms to democratic standards has been created, and citizens’ rights to elect and be elected are guaranteed by the law. Equal conditions have been created for political parties.

During the round-table conversation, it was said that the Milliy Tiklanish democratic party of Uzbekistan was paying special attention to ensuring young people’s active participation in the process of further democratizing the country and developing its civil society, raising their political, legal and socio-economic knowledge and strengthening their feeling of involvement in the process of reform.

It was said that rich experience of holding elections had been gathered in the country and that the national electoral system based on international electoral principles of legality and the electoral legislation were being further improved.
