Uzbekistan started the production of "Nike" sneakers

The factory of "Sino International" in Andijan region has established the production of sports shoes under the "Nike" brand, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the "Uzcharmsanoat" association, in 2019, the transnational company "Nike Inc." officially granted permission to manufacture sports shoes under its brand in Uzbekistan. On the basis of a special strategy developed by the "Uzcharmsanoat" association to attract the American brand to Uzbekistan, the name of our country was included among the producers of the world-famous "Nike" brand family.

The foreign company "Sino International", which was co-founded by Chinese investors in Andijan region with $3 million allocation, started producing the first batch of sneakers under the brand after spending

5 years to meet the Nike’s international standards such as the establishment of production lines, the creation of alternative conditions for workers, quality assurances for products controlled by the brand.

Today, lines for molding soles and preparing uppers of sports shoes are being operated by 50 employees in the company. Technologists, designers and tailors from the Chinese branch of the TNC company help Uzbek specialists improve qualifications and new skills.

According to the head of "Sino International" Rongxuan Fan: "By the end of this year, the production capacity is planned to increase by 2 percentas now it accounts 6,000 pairs of sneakers per day and in the future, 3 million per year. A pair of sneakers is made along these lines. In this regard, work is being coordinated to fulfill the brand requirements of our company more perfectly".

According to the strategy of the Nike Inc., sneakers produced in Uzbekistan will be directed to the markets of Central Asia, Pakistan, and later Europe.

Transnational company provides a barcode for each country for the production of sports shoes. Uzbekistan also got this barcode. This means that the enterprise in Andijan has the right to easily produce all models of sneakers created by world’s leading company.

"Attracting world brands to our industry is one of highestpriorities set by the head of our state, and today, the first Nike products developed at this enterprise are a great pride for us, and open the door to great opportunities to establish cooperation with other world brands." – said Fakhriddin Boboev, chairman of the association.

The products of "Sino International" have already occupied the market of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. Products will also be delivered to Pakistan next year.

The foreign company "Sino International" does not stop here and intends to meet the standards adopted by "Adidas" and produce products under the brand "Adidas" in Uzbekistan.
