UZBEKISTAN'S FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVED SECRETARY GENERAL OF OMAN'S MFA

September 15, 2015, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Co-chairman of the Uzbek-Omani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, who is paying visit to our country.

They discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda and exchanged views on international and regional issues.

The sides also discussed the results of the just-completed third session of the Uzbek-Omani Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation, which was attended by delegations from ministries and departments of the two countries.

The parties stressed the readiness for further development of exchanges in the cultural sphere, the traditional ties between our peoples. In this context, it is deeply symbolic participation of the delegation of Oman to the laying of the first stone of the future of the Center of Oriental Manuscripts named after Abu Rayhan Beruni at the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies.

The Ambassador of Oman Mohammad bin Said bin Mohammad al-Lavati attended the meeting.
