Under this title in Madrid held a presentation of tourist potential of Uzbekistan. The event was organized by the Embassy of our country in Spain, the Uzbek company Dolores Travel Services and local tour operator CATAI.
During the event representatives of Spanish tourism companies were acquainted with the unique historical and cultural heritage and traditions of the Uzbek people, natural resources and tourist attractions of our country.
Provided detailed information on ongoing Uzbek government measures to develop the country’s tourism potential, reconstruction and restoration of unique architectural monuments.
Speaking at the presentation, sales director of the Spanish tourism company CATAI Esther Gonzalez noted that Uzbekistan is a country where national traditions in harmony and dynamic development. Many historical sites are located in cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Shakhrisabz, they’re included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, which shows the great authority of the republic on the world tourism market.
Uzbekistan is the cradle of civilization and very attractive for tourists from all over the world. Openness and hospitality of the Uzbek people leave an unforgettable impression on the guests in your country, - said the representative of the company IRBIS VIAJES Luis Martinez. - Especially the finding of significant achievements of Uzbekistan in the tourism sector has been the success of the last year of the 99th Session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization in Samarkand.
In turn, the director of Apetece Viajar Paloma de Leon called culture, national cuisine and centuries-old traditions of our country as important factors in attracting the attention of tourists to Uzbekistan. In this regard, he shared his plans for Spanish firms to increase the number of tours in our country.
