UZBEK PAINTING CONQUERS ART LOVERS OF SINGAPORE

The ION Art Gallery, located in one of the most prestigious shopping centers in Singapore ION Orchard, held an exhibition of contemporary fine art "New Silk Road: art without borders".

The main purpose of the seven-day exhibition - widely acquaintance with the culture and features of national fine art of Central Asia, the revival of traditions of the Great Silk Road.

Unique art exhibition, organized with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Singapore, the College of Arts and Lassale company ENE Central Asian Art has become a special event in the cultural life of the island state, as first introduced magnificent specimens of contemporary fine art of Central Asia. Uzbek art was represented in paintings of two prominent painters Gafur Kadyrov and Faizulla Akhmadaliev, which struck with its creativity the most discerning art lovers.

Festive Opening Day attended by many art historians and art critics, representatives of the academic and political circles, big business, the media, and the diplomatic corps in Singapore.

At the exhibition visitors were presented more than 30 works, most of which painted by artists of Uzbekistan. Particular attention is attracted visitors exposure of works of F.Akhmadaliev "Bahauddin Naqshband", gracefully expressing in portrait compositions value guidelines and spiritual heritage of the Uzbek people. Its rightful place at the exhibition took triptych "Bukhara" by G.Kadyrov, in colors of which so ably transferred to the atmosphere of the ancient city.

Speaking at the opening ceremony Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Singapore to Uzbekistan Zulkifli bin Baharudin praised the creativity of artists, emphasizing the importance of such exhibitions for cultural interaction and strengthen creative links between states.

- I am honored to participate in such a significant event of intercultural exchange. The exhibition "The New Silk Road: art without borders" was first submitted to the exhibition area of ​​Singapore, introduces visitors to the unique culture, traditions and art of the Silk Road in Central Asia, particularly in Uzbekistan, - he said. - Each painting is distinguished by the highest mastery, they feel a sense of color and the East. I am convinced that here present art lovers will appreciate the originality of the works presented.

Sharing his impressions of the exhibition, president of the College of Arts Lassale, Professor Steve Dixon said the following:

- I am very interested in the paintings of Uzbek artists - it’s surprisingly thin and colorful with unusual compositional solution. Here is all that is required of true art - a multi-faceted style, sense of color and a high level of performance. In the works of artists reflected the centuries-old culture and spiritual values ​​of the peoples of the region. I am convinced that contemporary art is represented at the event will enable Singaporeans and foreign visitors to get a deeper understanding of the spiritual world of the Uzbek people.
