TURONBANK ALLOCATES 361,8 MILLION SOUMS OF LOANS

In order to implement the tasks defined in the National programme for personnel training, as well as to strengthen the social protection of citizens who receive higher education, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a Resolution "On granting educational loans for studying in higher educational institutions on a paid and contract basis". According to this document, the country’s commercial banks offer education loans, based on the principles of repayment, urgency and target use. Extensive work in this direction is carried out by the Joint-stock commercial bank "Turonbank". Since the beginning of the current year, the Bank has provided students with education loans for the total amount of 361,8 million soums.

Loan funds are allocated for up to 10 years, while students studying in master courses can receive loans for a period of 5 years including the education period. Only in the last 5 years, "Turonbank" had issued education loans totaling over 10 billion soums.

— This year I joined the Tashkent Financial Institute on a contract basis, and appealed to "Turonbank" for education loan. I signed a loan agreement, and the Bank transferred the funds, which covered the amount of the contract, - the client of "Turonbank" Madina Ibragimova said.
