"Travel Watch": Uzbekistan's majestic architecture, nature, and unique atmosphere will leave you in awe

Japan’s leading travel media platform Travel Watch has published an article by renowned Japanese journalist Toshikazu Murakami, titled "What Kind of Country Is Uzbekistan? We Visited the Central Asian Country Known for Its Enchanting Blue Mosque Domes", reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Based on his impressions from a creative press tour to Uzbekistan organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation, the author shared positive reflections on the country’s tourism potential, cultural heritage, safety, and hospitality.

The article presents Uzbekistan as a safe and peaceful destination offering Japanese tourists a 30-day visa-free regime and a stable political environment. Historic landmarks in Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, particularly Ichan-Kala and the Mausoleum of Pahlavan Mahmud are highlighted as outstanding examples of Islamic architecture.

Murakami also praised the quality of tourism services in Uzbekistan, using Tashkent’s LOTTE City Hotel as an example.

The article offers practical recommendations for Japanese travelers, including information on roaming compatibility with Japanese mobile operators, the availability of SIM cards, national flight options (such as flight HY512 via Seoul), and conveniences at Incheon Airport.

The local population is described as hospitable and welcoming, with special emphasis placed on the country’s religious tolerance and atmosphere of freedom.

It is expected that the practical insights provided in the article will contribute to an increase in the number of Japanese tourists visiting Uzbekistan.
