TRADITIONAL FLOWERS FESTIVAL

22-23 August, 2015, Namangan to hold the 55th traditional flowers festival, according to the press service of the hokimiyat (mayor’s office) of the city.

Here the diversity of ornamental plants cultivated by flower growers of Fergana Valley will be presented: from the already familiar cactus, lilies and geraniums to the exotic and unique flowers.

Contests of florists, designer clothes showing the national style, performances of creative groups, live national music and many more to be held at the event.

Recall that the annual flower festival held in Namangan from the 60-s of the last century. This time it is timed to the 24th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence and the "Year of attention and care for the senior generation".
