THREE BANKS OF UZBEKISTAN HAVE BEEN RENAMED

Three banks of the country has been renamed by the decision of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, reports the press-service of the Central Bank.

The private joint stock exchange bank "Trust Bank" has changed its name to the private joint-stock bank "Trust Bank", State Joint-Stock Commercial Bank "Asaka" - to joint stock commercial bank "Asaka", State Commercial People’s Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan - to Joint-Stock Commercial People’s Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It was also replaced letterheads of licenses to conduct banking operations and transactions in foreign currency.

Reference: In accordance with paragraph 9 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures for the introduction of modern methods of corporate governance in joint stock companies", dated April 24, 2015 from July 1, 2015 in the names of joint-stock and other business entities are not allowed to use the word "state", regardless of the state’s share in their charter capital.
