THERE WILL BE AN ABUNDANCE OF FOOD ON HOLIDAY TABLES

In the run-up to the New Year holiday, an agricultural and food trade fair has been arranged on the Dehkon Bozori marketplace in the town of Nukus, the Republic of Qoraqalpoghiston, north-western Uzbekistan, and there are lots of buyers there.

At the trade fair, foodstuffs such as meat and fish products as well as honey produced by enterprises processing agricultural products, and produce of farms and entrepreneurs are being offered at lower prices. Non-cash payment facilities have been installed there in order to create a convenience for people.

Farms and peasants’ holdings in Amudaryo, Tortkul, Moynoq, Beruniy and Ellikqala Districts are delivering their good quality products in a timely fashion.

The Obod Diyor Mevasi farm that specializes in fruit production and that is managed by Hamro Allaberganov of Ellikqala District is offering various fruits for holiday tables. In the course of two days, the farm sold nearly one tonne of fruits that are good for health.

“On the marketplace, all the necessary conveniences have been created for traders and buyers. In addition to covered pavilions, 50 places were created in an area in front of the marketplace. This event being held on the eve of the New Year holiday gives people festive cheer and ensures that there will be an abundance of food on their holiday tables,” says Qaniyoz Boyniyozov, the deputy chairman of the Nukus Dehkon Bozori joint-stock company.

Such holiday trade fairs have also been arranged in all the other towns and district centres of the Republic of Qoraqalpoghiston.
