The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chief Investment Officer of Franklin Templeton, Manraj Sekhon, who is participating in the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
Franklin Templeton is one of the largest global asset management companies. It has more than 100 offices in 30 countries.
The issues of developing the National Investment Fund of Uzbekistan, transforming strategic state-owned enterprises, and placing their shares on stock markets were discussed at the meeting.
The interest in implementing programs to improve the efficiency of state-owned enterprises, develop the capital market, and implement the People’s IPO was noted.
