On September 20, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino in New York, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of state, the Leader of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulated Gianni Infantino on the successful holding of the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
The fruitful partnership of Uzbekistan with FIFA was emphasized with particular satisfaction. Joint programs and projects are being implemented to develop football and broadly involve youth.
The issues of organizing and holding major international FIFA events, including women’s and youth championships in Uzbekistan, were discussed.
FIFA President congratulated Uzbekistan on the upcoming 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup, organized under the auspices of FIFA, and wished success in holding it at a high level.
Gianni Infantino also highly appreciated the large-scale work in Uzbekistan to comprehensively support grassroots and professional football comprehensively, creating modern infrastructure and an educational base.
