The President of Uzbekistan at a meeting with the President of Tatarstan notes great opportunities for deepening practical cooperation with the regions of Russia

As part of the development of large-scale interregional cooperation with Russia, on April 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of state, issues of implementation of priority investment projects and further deepening of cultural-humanitarian exchange were considered.

The high results of fruitful cooperation achieved in recent years were noted with satisfaction. The volume of mutual trade and investment is growing. Chirchiq Chemical-Industrial Techno Park is successfully operating in Tashkent region. During the current visit of the Russian delegation, a new project – a Technopark was launched in Jizzakh region.

Major cooperation projects are being implemented in the petrochemical industry and mechanical engineering. The activity of the branch of Kazan Federal University in Jizzakh is expanding.

Promising business partnership projects in various sectors of the economy, the development of existing and the opening of new industrial parks in other regions of the country, the adoption of cooperation programs in innovation, small business and information technology, as well as in the modernization of utility networks were discussed at the meeting.

The active participation of Tatarstan companies as part of the Russian delegation in the work of the International Industrial Exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia”, taking place these days in the city of Tashkent, was noted.

Following the meeting, the Head of state noted the importance of organizing systemic work to promote joint programs and projects based on the action plan.
