The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan receives the delegation of the Russian Federation

On February 19, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, co-chairman of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Denis Manturov.

Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the President of Uzbekistan.

Issues of implementation of agreements in trade and economic cooperation adopted following the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Russia on October 5-7, 2023, were considered.

At the meeting, it was noted with satisfaction that last year, bilateral trade turnover increased by 6.6 percent. Projects are being implemented in industry, energy, transport, metallurgy, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and other industries. The fruitful results of the meetings of the intergovernmental commission and interregional, educational, and medical forums held in 2023 were highly appreciated.

Particular attention was paid to the importance of maintaining the growth rate of mutual trade, as well as further promoting cooperation projects, including at the site of the International Industrial Exhibition “Innoprom. Central Asia”, which will be held for the third time in Tashkent in April this year.
