SCHOOL OF BRAVERY AND COURAGE

At the eastern military district’s school for training sergeants, a cultural enlightenment event has been held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Motherland Defenders Day.

The event was attended by employees of the Uzbekistan Trade Unions Federation and the Namangan Regional department of the republic’s Morality Promotion Centre, cadets of the Namangan Regional council of the Vatanparvar defence assistance organization, retired officers, representatives of the culture and art sphere and students. It was said at the event that large-scale reforms implemented in the country’s Armed Forces under the leadership of the First President were producing great results.

“The eastern military district’s school for training sergeants makes a contribution to the country’s defence by training qualified sergeants with thorough modern military knowledge and with high physical and combat readiness for all the branches of the national army, including airborne paratroopers, and also guard troops of the interior ministry and the country’s border troops. Thousands of junior commanders who were trained at the school now serve in different forces devotedly to ensure our country’s peace, the inviolability of its borders and our people’s tranquillity,” says retired colonel H.Hidirov.

The guests presented the school’s information resource centre with books including social and artistic literature. A group of military service veterans were given memorable gifts.

At the event, an interesting dialogue took place between poets and writers. And artistes performed melodies and songs about the Motherland, independence, peace and devotion.
