PRAISING THE MOTHERLAND

The final stage of the republican contest “You are unique, the sacred motherland!” took place at the Palace of culture of the Ministry of internal affairs of Uzbekistan. The contest was held in the system of the ministry and was dedicated to the 24th anniversary of the independence of our country.

The deputy of the minister of internal affairs of Uzbekistan A.Mirzayev, the first deputy of the chairman of Writers’ union of Uzbekistan S.Sayyid and others have noted that the republican contest “You are unique, the sacred motherland!”, which has been held since 2009 by the initiative of the president, is an important factor of inspiring people to create songs which include the ideas of devotion to the native land and complicity to its destiny.

The fact that this contest is held annually just before the Day of Independence has a really deep meaning. Because today’s peaceful and stable life, positive changes in people’s conscious, great successes in social-political, economic, cultural-educational spheres are the results of independence which is the greatest and the most valuable boon.

The contest was held at a high level this year as well. More than 200 talented singers who took part in qualifying stages of the contest praised the beauty of our country, the value of peace, national traditions, rich spiritual heritage, constructive potential of our nation, the successes achieved during the years of independence. While assessing the skills of participants they payed a great attention to such criteria as harmony of the text and music and singing skills.

The first place was taken by the ensemble of songs and dances of the Palace of culture of the ministry, the second place was taken by S.Najmiev who is the director of the centre of spirituality and education of High technical school of fire safety, by the employees of the Ministry of internal affairs of Karakalpakstan Republic S.Kallibekov and U.Atajanov, the third place was taken by the inspector of security management of Andijan regional internal affairs department A.Matsayev, by the inspector of the group of delinquency prevention of Termez regional department of internal affairs M.Usmanov and the inspector of private contingent service of Samarkand regional department of internal affairs Sh.Ganiyev.

— The creation of songs which praise the native land is a part of honest and selfless service for the sake of nation’s well-being – says the director of the centre of spirituality and education of High technical school of fire safety of the Ministry of internal affairs Savriddin Najmiyev. – the song which was sung by our ensemble is devoted to high achievements thanks to our independence, good endeavors and pursuits. Our song calls upon taking care of our Uzbekisan, protecting its honour, valuing today’s peace and stability.

At the event there were sung different songs about motherland, independence, opportunities achieved thanks to the independence, reforms (which are being realized) on raising national self-consciousness, revival of national traditions, upbringing of the youth as future successors of our great ancestors.
