NEW ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO EXCISE STAMPS INTRODUCED IN UZBEKISTAN

The Cabinet of Ministers passed on 27 February the Resolution “On Introduction of New Model Excise Stamps for Alcohol and Tobacco” presenting stamps designed and approved by the Finance Ministry, State Tax Committee, State Customs Committee and Davlat Belgisi, a production union.

Alcohol and tobacco marked by older stamps will be valid for selling until 31 December 2017. From 1 January 2018, the products will be considered unmarked and might be confiscated.

From 1 January 2018, the tax and customs committees will confiscate alcohol and tobacco marked with older stamps.
