MELODIES OF NATIVE COUNTRY

In the palace of arts of Ellikqala District of the Republic of Qoraqalpoghiston, north-western Uzbekistan, a concert programme entitled “Ona yurt ohanglari” (Melodies of the native country) was presented with the participation of the youth symphonic orchestra of Uzbekistan.

In this concert, the youth symphonic orchestra of Uzbekistan performed national and world music classics, and it helped in bringing up young people in the spirit of love for the Motherland, devotion to ideas of independence and in encouraging a greater feeling of national pride in them.

“This constant care for young people urges them to actively engage in creative work and justify the high trust placed in them. Our orchestra was established at the initiative of the country’s First President Islam Karimov in the year 2015 for the purpose of providing support for young people with initiative. Our creative group includes many winners of republican and international contests and festivals. Within the framework of youth festivals held in the past two years under the slogan `We are children of a great country’ we went on a tour of the country,” says merited artiste of Uzbekistan Kamoliddin Orinboyev, the artistic director of the youth symphonic orchestra.

The concert programme included works of Uzbek composers and composers of world classics, modern music and arias from operas, and spectators found them to be impressive.
