On September 22, 2016 in New-York Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas Shannon.
The Minister expressed gratitude on behalf of the government of Uzbekistan to the American side for condolences expressed by the US President Barack Obama on the death of the First President I.A.Karimov.
During the conversation the sides exchanged views on topical issues of the Uzbek-American agenda, and the prospects of further development of relations.
The parties also discussed some international and regional problems.
