On October 5, 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the president of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Kim In Sik, who arrived in Uzbekistan as the head of the delegation to attend the opening ceremony of the Professional Education Centre in Samarkand.
At the conversation the sides discussed the state and prospects of development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and KOICA in the context of the overall priorities of the strategic partnership of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea.
During the visit of the KOICA delegation it is planned to hold meetings and negotiations in the Government, a number of ministries and departments of Uzbekistan, and visit to Samarkand.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea Kwon Yong-woo attended the meeting.
