On October 5, 2016, in Brussels, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov held bilateral talks with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini.
At the beginning of the conversation the Minister expressed gratitude on behalf of the government of Uzbekistan to the leadership of the European Union for the condolences addressed to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the death of the First President I.A.Karimov.
The sides discussed topical bilateral issues, including the schedule and agenda for the upcoming meeting of the joint cooperation institutions.
The sides also exchanged views on the outcome of inter-regional meeting of “Central Asia - European Union” on October 4 and some topics of international and regional policy.
