KUNGRAD SODA PLANT PUTS INTO OPERATION SECOND PHASE OF CAPACITIES

The second phase of the unitary enterprise "Kungrad Soda Plant" has been put into operation, whose production capacity has now increased to 200 thousand tons of export-oriented products a year, UzA reported.

104.4 million dollars of investments have been raised for this project, implemented within the framework of execution of the decision of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Islam Karimov "On priorities of industrial development of Uzbekistan in 2011-2015" dated December 15, 2010.

The plant, which has great economic potential, has doubled its production volume.

Founded in 2006, the company had a production capacity of 100 thousand tons of soda per year. The second phase has increased the volume of highly-demanded production on the world market, which meets fully international requirements. In addition to supplying the domestic market, the company’s products are exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.
