Infosecurity Belgium-2015

In the metropolitan center of the Kingdom of Belgium Brussel Expo an international exhibition of computer and information security, data storage systems Infosecurity Belgium-2015 was held.

Infosecurity - the most massive exposure event in Belgium for specialists in the field of information security, which is conducted annually. Here come together IT-specialists, consultants and managers involved in the development and improvement of systems of information security, anti-virus software developers and systems of junk mail.

The current exhibition includes such areas as firewalls, virus scanners and monitors, systems and methods for filtering of "spam", system of secure virtual private networks, Internet security, security of e-mail and others.

According to the organizers, this year’s Infosecurity Belgium drew the attention of more than one hundred world’s leading companies in the development of antivirus and computer technologies, such as IBM, DELL, Cisco etc., which provided information about the latest developments to ensure digital security, protection against cyber attacks, information storage. The exposition held more than 75 workshops with participation of 4,5 thousand international ICT specialists.

For three days, visitors had the opportunity to expand their business contacts, strengthen existing relationships, communicate with direct clients, conduct field studies of the market and to establish contacts with potential buyers.

In the international fair also participated delegation of the Center for information security under the Ministry of Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Representatives of our country have held several meetings with specialists and experts from leading European companies.

The main objectives of the participation of the Uzbek delegation became acquainted with the exhibited products at the fair, to establish contacts for further establishing long-term cooperation and implementation of intelligent technologies to the development of ICT in the country.

During the negotiations, in order to acquaint the Belgian and European companies with the economic potential of the country, issues of widespread introduction of information technologies in the real sector of the economy, including industrial, transportation, utility infrastructure, etc., also held a presentation of the results of the development of ICT in Uzbekistan in 2014.

Representatives of the Belgian and European companies have confirmed the attractiveness of the market of Uzbekistan in the region and the possibility of establishing cooperation for the introduction of modern information technologies and services in the activities of state and economic management of the country.

The main coordinator of the exhibition Infosecurity Belgium-2015 Cristian De Sfert, welcoming a delegation of our country noted that the participation of the Republic in this event will contribute to the further development of ICT in Uzbekistan.

- Meetings with the Uzbek delegation allowed us to learn more about your country, about the ongoing work in the country on a wide introduction of information and communication technologies to improve the quality of online services in the public administration system and all sectors of the economy.

It is gratifying to see that the state pays special attention to the development of e-government in Uzbekistan, adopted a number of governmental resolutions and decrees, which contribute to the further development of information technology, - said C.De Sfert.

Regional manager of Seagate Technology Corporation Steen Sveenen said that his company is a leading developer of technology and products for the storage and use of information in electronic form.

- We are well aware that in recent years your country is making great strides in various industries, - he said. - I believe that Uzbekistan has achieved all of this by improving the sphere of high technologies by adopted effective measures aimed at supporting domestic developers of software products, the increase in national information resources, training of qualified specialists.

We see that there is mutual interest in establishing links and express our readiness to discuss in detail the issues of cooperation with the Uzbek companies.

Director on Economic Affairs of the company Dimension Data, Peter-Paul Poelman:

- It is noteworthy that at the present time in Uzbekistan conducted a full-scale work on the implementation in practice of the "Electronic Government" (EG), as well as provision of the necessary basis for his services to the population. It’s nice to know that in order to establish workflow between public authorities in the EG introduced a single secure electronic document management system E-xat, E-hujjat, which are already connected to the regional, city and district khokimiyats and many other organizations and institutions of the country.

I am sure that in the near future of the Republic will become the leading country in the region for the implementation and development of "electronic government".

Overall, there was an exhibition in which the delegations of the Republic even better acquainted with the best practices in the sphere of ICT. Representatives of foreign companies expressed their willingness to establish cooperation with relevant organizations of Uzbekistan interested in introducing modern information technologies and services in the country.
