FEMOZA PROMOTES SIEZ "NAVOI"

In Geneva, at the headquarters of the World Federation of free and special economic zones (World Federation of Free and Special Economic Zones - FEMOZA) the presentation of the trade-economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan.

For reference: Established in 1999 FEMOZA is an international non-governmental organization. Its activities are aimed at promoting free economic zones around the world, the promotion of national projects internationally and attract foreign investment.

Functions of the organization include the development of rules, regulations and directions of development of free economic zones, providing interested parties with technical, legal and economic assistance as well as training. Web site of the organization - http://www.femoza.org/.

The event was presented detailed information on the current economic development of the country, the measures undertaken by the Government for the modernization and technological re-equipment of industrial enterprises, improve the investment climate, as well as government programs aimed at the social and infrastructural development.

They were presented the opportunities and prospects of FIEZ "Navoi" PPE "Angren" and "Jizzakh" benefits and privileges granted to foreign investors in these zones. It was emphasized that their main task is to support the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products and introduction of new technologies.

During the presentation, President Juan Torrents FEMOZA praised the dynamic development of Uzbekistan in all spheres. He noted that many foreign companies have shown interest in the rapidly growing market of the republic and implementation of joint projects. H.Torrents expressed readiness to assist in the establishment and development of contacts between the SIZ of Uzbekistan and other countries.

The outcome of the discussion was an agreement on the placement of information on the FIEZ "Navoi" on the website FEMOZA, in particular, on an interactive map FEZ world. This resource is visited by representatives of the international business community, who will be able to get acquainted with the potential and prospects of the Free Industrial Economic Zone "Navoi".
