For more than five centuries with pride and love, people around the world pronounce the name of our great ancestor Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur, who has made an invaluable contribution to the development of world science and culture.

Babur was a prominent figure - a poet, a highly educated man, a wise expert of the human soul, philosopher, scholar and lexicographer, had all the subtleties of the Arab-Persian and Turkic poetry and folklore He was competent in military matters, construction, architecture, history, music, and many others. With an encyclopedic knowledge and rare abilities, he made a significant contribution to the study of history, literature and art.

Babur wrote his memoirs in the genre based on travel records and memories. But there is no willpower lyrical poetic heritage characterized by its breadth, gorgeousness, visual means, genre orientation (gazelle, rubai, kit’a, masnevi, fard, muamma) and the perfection of poetic forms. It is hymn to the beauty of the earth and human love.

Following the tradition of Alisher Navoi, Babur in his work glorifies and exalts real man. All bright and clear in his poetry, his hope and joy based on contradictions and searches of that time. Higher destination of man, according to the poet, is to be truthful, fair, and this is the main feature of high spirituality and morality.

With a large impressive force is expressed in the verses of the poet boundless love for his homeland, nostalgic notes are present in many works of the great descendant of Amir Temur. "When we shared kovun, brought from Fergana, my eyes filled with tears," - he writes in "Baburname". Longing for his native country resonates with emotional experiences generated by separation.

There is no Motherland and happiness no more,

And nothing except pain alone.

I came to this land by own will,

But cannot leave it still.

Each verse of Babur - a perfect image, melody echoes in the soul of man as the Taj Mahal - one of the wonders of the world, an outstanding monument of art, built in India during the reign of Babur, which sounds unique music for everyone whose heart is capable of deep love and as deeply grieved.

Musicality is revealed in poems of Babur through figurative and emotional structure of poetry, the image of musical instruments, as well as the perception of music.

The extraordinary melodiousness lyrics, which is expressed in artistic and literary style and skillful use of means of expression of the native language, poetry brings Babur with people’s poetic creativity. No coincidence that many of his ghazals and rubai set to music Babur based on the poetry of the vocal parts of Bukhara Shashmaqom, Khorezm makoms and Ferghana-Tashkent makom vocal cycles.

"The book is a monumental edition and makes a significant contribution not only to Babur studies, but also into research on the history of the Timurids and Central Asia.
