EDUCATION WITHOUT BORDERS

Enormous attention is paid in Uzbekistan to the study of foreign languages. This is being done also so that students could continue their education abroad. This actually explains the great interest to the exhibition of international education ‘International Study Uzbekistan EXPO-2016’, which was held at the Palace of Youth Creativity in Tashkent.

The major objective of this exhibition on international education is information exchange in the sphere of higher education and informing the youth about the opportunities for studying and internship abroad. And it has fully coped with its task, according to the opinion of its organizers: the ITE Uzbekistan Exhibition Company and the British Council.

The participants in the exhibition had received detailed information about training directions of higher educational institutions of our country, as well as those of the United Kingdom, China, Malaysia, Russia, Romania, France and Japan specializing on training specialists in the field of engineering, innovative technologies, planning and statistics, tourism and hospitality business, and natural sciences.

“Coventry University is one of the leading higher educational institutions of Great Britain,” says the CU official Claudio Jordan. “Students at our University major in such spheres as business, finance, high technologies, and humanities. In the course of this exhibition we have witnessed the great interest of the Uzbek youth in getting modern knowledge and their fluency in speaking several foreign languages.”

“We have presented the activities and educational programs of five major Universities of Malaysia,” says specialist the global education service of the Education Malaysia Global Services organization, Raja Muhammad Fariz. “The broad opportunities created for the youth and the principles of humanism in education are similar aspects in the system of education in Uzbekistan and Malaysia.”

“We have been able to get acquainted with the activities of numerous foreign Universities, and have been convinced that the training standards in the sphere of education of our country fully comply with the international requirements,” stressed Ahmadjon Kholmurodov, student of the faculty of information security at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies. “I have learnt at the exhibition about directions of training in the Masters Degree courses abroad and some language programs.”

The exhibition has also played an important role in strengthening relations of domestic higher educational institutions with their foreign colleagues, which will contribute to raising the level of education quality.

“There have been many foreign participants at the exhibition,” says head of the O’zbekistonda Khorijiy Tillar electronic magazine and Internet-portal under the Uzbek State University of World Languages, Gulmira Shukurova. “And this facilitated the establishment of relations for development of cooperation. We have students from the CIS countries, Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia studying today at our University; and I think that from now on their geography will expand further. At the same time I think that after this exhibition the list of foreign Universities, which we cooperate with, will be extended in terms of academic exchange and organization of internships for our students and the faculty.
