The National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi hosted a memorial evening entitled "You must live on stage!", dedicated to the 105th anniversary of People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Shukur Burkhanov, the press service of the library reports.
Actors of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre, relatives and friends of the actor, students attended the event.
Recall that Shukur Burhanov born on September 15, 1910 in Tashkent. He embodied on stage heroic and strong-willed images of Hamlet, Farhad, Mayor from the comedy "The Inspector General", King Oedipus, Ulugbek, Brutus and the others.
The event also hosted a photo-book exhibition reflecting the life and work of the famous actor in different years.
