Collaboration between Uzbekistan and Georgia will enhance

Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nuriddin Ismoilov, met with members of the delegation led by the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.

At the meeting, which was held in a constructive spirit, issues of further enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia, enriching it with new content, and exchanging experience in rule-making were considered.

In turn, Shalva Papuashvili emphasized that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has pursued a balanced, open, and constructive foreign policy in recent years, and large-scale reforms have had good results. It was also noted that the consistent continuation of meetings in a practical spirit and strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation serve both sides’ interests.

The parties also discussed enhancing the scope of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two countries and relations in transport and communications, textiles, electrical engineering, tourism, cultural, humanitarian, and other spheres.

At the meeting, the parties agreed to take cooperation to a new level.
