The year 2017 began for the Red Crescent Society (RCS) of Uzbekistan with pleasant news.
The Uzbek RCS has been assigned a worthwhile place in the list of 50 best national Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies throughout the world. This was a result of monitoring by the Committee for the Development of Regional Organizations of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies of all 190 national societies around the planet.
The rating of the best national societies in different categories is compiled on the basis of a number of indicators approved by the special commission of the IFRC. According to the official letter of the head of the relevant committee of the International Federation, Dr. Muktar Jaloch, addressed to the chairman of the RCS of Uzbekistan, thanks to the actions taken and the changes introduced aimed at the overall development of the potential of humanitarian activity, the Uzbek Red Crescent Society contributed to the achievement of effective results in its work.
It should be noted that the RCS of Uzbekistan for the first time was included in the rating of the authoritative organization, which was published in the information base of the International Federation. And this positive result is an additional stimulus to further actions to perfect the quality of the assistance provided to the population, to improve the activity at all levels everywhere for the thriving and dynamic advancement of the Red Crescent Society of Uzbekistan in the future.
