AMERICAN EXPERT ON SOCIAL PROTECTION OF WOMEN IN UZBEKISTAN

Measures to protect the rights of women implemented by trade unions and employers in Uzbekistan are really impressive.

Such an opinion in an interview to Information agency "Jahon" made by the President of the National Council of Women’s Organizations USA, president of the Institute for the Study of Women and Education Susan Scanlan.

- Uzbekistan in preparing girls to highly paid professions in the initial stage of education is much ahead of other countries, including the United States, - she said. - I’ve met a lot of talented graduates among girls and admire their efforts and achievements.

American women are still actively fighting for providing financial support to young mothers and working conditions necessary for the care of babies in the workplace. Thought-out investments of the Government of Uzbekistan invested in this direction is commendable.

I am pleased to note the efforts of the social support of women, especially to pay attention to their needs in rural areas. During my first visit to the republic, I got acquainted with the activities of mobile medical teams that traveled around the country and provides specialized treatment for pregnant women and new mothers. Such a model can be used in the United States. Availability of medical services to patients without having to visit their doctor is essential.

I also support that the Council of Federation of Trade Unions allocates its active members to encourage and reward. This is important in terms of the approval of the significant contribution of women to the development of economy, trade and social life.
