On December 11, 2019, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Akmal Kuchkarov attended the scientific conference “Turkmenistan’s Neutrality: Cooperation for Peace, Security and Sustainable Development”, on the occasion of the International Day of Neutrality.
The event, chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, was attended by heads of ministries and agencies, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ashgabat, Turkmen Ambassadors in foreign countries, as well as representatives of academia and the media.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan congratulated people of Turkmenistan on the International Day of Neutrality, noting that Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan traditionally support each other’s initiatives to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in the region and in the world as a whole.
