In Andijon Region, too, intense preparations are being conducted for the 4 December 2016 elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. All the necessary conditions are being created at 773 polling stations established to ensure that the elections are held on the basis of democratic principles of equality and transparency.
At the polling stations, special attention is being paid to ensuring that this important political event is held thoroughly in every respect and at a high level in accordance with the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On elections of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and the main events programme of the Central Electoral Commission. Specifically, the work of the polling stations is being initiated within the framework of specified norms. All of them are being provided with the necessary items, technical means and methodological booklets.
More than 91 thousand voters living in the territory of the 37 neighbourhood citizens’ gathering in Buloqboshi District will be voting, exercising their rights and liberties enshrined in the national legislation. Now 35 electoral precincts have been formed in the district.
“A list of voters who will be taking part in the elections has been compiled. The necessary conditions and conveniences are being created for voters to cast their votes. At the same time, various propagation events are being conducted in cooperation with offices of state administration, the women’s committee of the district, the district department of the Mahalla public charity foundation, the district council of the Kamolot public youth movement and some other organizations directed towards raising the knowledge of voters, especially young people who are going to vote for the first time, about the electoral legislation and towards giving them a broad idea about the essence of the electoral legislation,” says the acting chairperson of the Buloqboshi district department of the Mahalla public charity foundation, Mahbuba Sotvoldiyeva.
