The activities of the consultants of citizens’ assemblies on religious education and spiritual and moral education are aimed at establishing a healthy lifestyle, preserving and developing the best national and religious traditions and rites, the upbringing of the youth.
They have become an important link in the activities of self-government bodies. In the Year of Dialogue with the People and of Human Interests, new tasks for improving work with people have been put before consultants.
These days, the Mahalla Fund and a number of partner organizations in the regions of the republic hold demonstration seminars for advisers on religious education and spiritual and moral education on the topic "Communication culture is a key factor in effective work with families".
Today, there are 864 consultants in the mahallas of Andijan region. In their work they attach special significance to raising the legal awareness of the population, strengthening families, securing employment, further strengthening the cooperation of the mahalla, family and educational institutions, and the effectiveness of the work of "Parent universities".
“The increasing role of self-government bodies is setting new, higher requirements for us”, the consultant of the gathering of citizens of the Kutanaryk mahalla of the city of Andijan, H.Tadjibaeva says. “During the seminar, we examined the psychological aspects of working with the population.”
At the seminar in the Tashkent region, they stressed that consultants working in the mahalla system are deeply involved in the pressing issues that citizens are addressing. Today they contribute to the education of youth, increase of social activity of the population, strengthening of peace and tranquility. Their role in protecting the younger generation from the impact of negative phenomena, shaping the world outlook of young people is important.
“The consultants are members of four out of eight public commissions on the main areas of activity of citizens’ self-government bodies”, consultant of the Yangiyul mahalla community of the Kibray district R.Ergasheva says. “The conciliation commission, commission for work with women, on issues of minors, youth and sports, as well as education and spirituality are among them. This places great responsibility on us.”
