In the 2015-2016 academic year, the first class will go 613 thousand children, press service of the Ministry of Education reports.

On my first school lesson - "Lessons of independence" they receive a gift of the President - with a portfolio of 12 types of school supplies and textbooks.

Fully published textbooks and manuals 454 names in the amount of 25.7 million copies.

According to the investment program this year the construction and repair work carried out in 384 schools. Of these, 219 were reconstructed in 135 - major repairs. There were also built 29 new schools. 341.8 billion soums directed for these purposes.

From the Fund for the development of children’s sports to 239.2 billion soums were constructed and reconstructed 221 sports venues and 5 schools of music and art.

Also, 6775 kits of ICT equipment were bought in the amount of 13.5 million USD for the study of a foreign language in grades 1-4 of comprehensive schools of Uzbekistan.

For students in grades 9-8 were bought 2.8 thousand sets of computer equipment. According to the ministry, 277 kits were purchased from the budget and 1.22 thousand sets - due to grants from international organizations and 1.3 thousand sets - by a grant from the Chinese government.
