Independence Square is located in the center of Tashkent. It is a favorite vacation spot of Tashkent inhabitants. To a large extent its due to the fact that there are the most beautiful fountains of the city.
Independence Square - place for celebration of solemn events during the holidays.
Central figure of the square - sixteen marble columns, united by overlap, on which figures of storks are set, which since ancient times symbolized peace and tranquility.
Under the monument is the figure of a woman with a baby in her arms, symbolizing the Motherland.
The size of the area is almost 12 hectares. On it is also government buildings and administrative offices.
